Ciao from beautiful Edinburgh!

Hello! So it's 1:15 am and I have "napped" from 7-11pm therefore I am super alert at the moment o_o

This is my second week in Scotland and my second week in vet school! Everything's been going great for me lately but unfortunately I've got a really bad cold :( So I can't properly enjoy the whole "yay, I'm finally in vet school" feel

Just a short picture update to let you guys know what I've been up to!

My vet friends and I baked a lot of cookies for the World Rhino Day bake sale in my school on Monday! Oh and I've also settled in pretty well in this lovely newly built university residence and have met pretty cool flatmates, so all is well! Of course, this is after the whole freshers week fiasco when my boxes didn't arrive when it should, living on the highest floor with a non-functional elevator, my never ending story with my stupid toenail etc. Ugh freshers week was just a nightmare

Me and a couple of friends also went for the rifle club taster! It was really fun and I'm now a member :3 heh! Although this wasn't what I had in mind for a university sports activity :( I've always wanted to try on a new team sport (almost signed up for roller hockey) but 1. I don't know how to roller blade 2. the roller hockey court is too far away :( Plus, when the real hardcore studying starts kicking in, I doubt I'd have the time to handle my bruises and aching while slaving away at my desk.

Apparently this is "not bad" for a first timer, considering the target was 18m away hahahah. Good fun good fun! And I never knew there was so much to this sport apart from accuracy, for example, different breathing movements, position of elbow etc

Amazing view while walking back from the farm(where we do our cattle practicals at) I'm sorry this photo does not do Langhill any justice. This is one of those things where you "have to be there to see it" :) Don't worry! I'll be here for another 5 years so come visit me!

I guess this is it from me today. I have 2 lectures on JUST enzymes back to back tomorrow and a dog skull practical. My days are usually 9-5 everyday except for Wednesdays but I guess it's just the introductory weeks so my Thursdays are a bit more chilled :P Also, I'm trying to get into the routine of studying every night but I guess I'm still a bit unsure on WHAT I'm supposed to be studying :/ Lecturers always seem to be saying "it's okay, it'll be much clearer after you do the practical", boy I hope they're right :/

The bus commute to uni everyday is around 30-45 minutes, but at least I get a lovely view everyday :)
P/s: the white fluffy blobs are grazing sheep heh

Officially a dick vet student.

Goodnight lovelies!
